I have 19 years experience in yoga and have lived in India. I have lived in yoga ashrams in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, California and India.
I have trained in Sivananda, Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga styles. But I also have experience in many other styles including Siddha, Yoga in Daily Life, Satyananda and many others.
I have trained in Meditation in Vipasana centres connected to Goenke, Tibetan and Zen Buddhism, Osho, Yogananda, Sivananda and Aurobindo.
Through this experience I have developed a style of Yoga called UOCA Yoga.
The asana postures largely follow Sivananda and Ashtanga, though many different styles are incorporated.
I have taught yoga to many people all round the world, mostly one on one. I have taught school children including 8 year olds.
The sessions and postures are not intense, nor painful. The concept is to increase flexibility by allowing the body to gently with encouragement move into deeper poses.
Not only will your body be thankful to you for reinvigorating it, but you should find that your mind becomes more peaceful, relaxed and in tune with who you are.
SESSIONS: PRIVATE ONE ON ONE
Thirty minute $60
One hour $90
One and half hour $120
For groups – every additional person must be booked in with you; additional persons cost $10 per person per half an hour. If we come to you then there is an additional cost of $50 per half an hour of driving time there and back.
PRICE for these spiritual teachings are minimal as it is against the Yamas and Niyamas to profit which are the precepts one takes before following the path of Patanjali.
WE COME TO YOU or YOU can come to us
An UOCA yoga teacher or myself can come to your house, unit, resort or hotel and teach you there.
Or you can come to the UOCA Ashram – ring for details.
A yoga mat will be provided for you to use.
You need to wear loose casual clothing or stretch leotards and bare feet.
Do not eat, consume alcohol or tobacco for at least 2 hours before the class.
Please inform of any medical conditions including pregnancy, menstruation and back injuries.
It is not necessary to have any experience in yoga before.
You can be any age including a child or elder.
*For more intensive/complex tuition sessions. Please state what level of experience you have in yoga and what you wish to expect from the session. For instance if you want to focus on certain postures or breathing or meditation techniques state which ones.
If you wish to do a full routine covering most asanas then an one and a half hour session is necessary. A list of postures will be provided to you if you chose this option.
